Our approach to sustainability
Part 3: Reporting & Accountability
The standards, reporting, and independent accreditations that help keep us accountable.
At Planteria, we believe sustainability should be practical, measurable, and built into the way we operate every day. We are continually reviewing how we work, from the services we deliver to the suppliers we partner with, to help reduce environmental impact and support a more responsible future for our industry.
Working alongside specialist sustainability consultants, we are developing a long-term strategy focused on continual improvement, transparency, and accountability. This work helps us better understand our impact, strengthen our processes, and identify meaningful opportunities to create positive change for people, communities, and the environment.

Annual Sustainability Strategy Reporting
At Planteria, we are committed to improving our business in ways that support people, protect the planet, and create lasting positive change. Through our sustainability strategy, Growing for the Future, we are working to reduce environmental impact, improve workplace wellbeing, and build a more responsible future for our industry.
Developed alongside independent sustainability advisors, the strategy was shaped through collaboration with our people, clients, and suppliers to better understand the issues that matter most to our business and stakeholders. Guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it sets out clear commitments and measurable actions that continue to drive progress across our operations, services, and supply chain.
Since launching Growing for the Future in 2023, we have remained committed to transparent reporting and continual improvement, sharing annual progress updates against our key sustainability goals and initiatives.

Our Sustainability Journey
Supporting Our Client’s Sustainability Ambitions
Many of our clients have implemented an ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategy, taking a holistic view of the interconnected importance of these pillars as essential to running a successful, responsible, and sustainable business. In turn, we can help our clients, supporting them, as a sustainable supplier, and helping to achieve their goals in the following areas:
Provide Biophilic Design and Planting in the Workplace
We believe that the future of the workplace is all about creating people-centric spaces and ensuring the wellbeing of staff. Numerous studies (such as the Three Field Experiments and The Economics of Biophilia) show that biophilic design which includes planting, create positive emotions, reduce stress and absenteeism, and improve productivity and creativity.
Attracting, Retaining and Engaging Talent
Organisations want to create working environments that represent who they are and what they stand for. Adding beautiful planting to the office improves its aesthetics, helping attract, retain, and engage staff. For example, the sick building syndrome, which means that people can experience health issues when they spend too much time indoors, could be avoided by bringing the outside in. Staff also performs better when plants are added to the workplace, and people are becoming more aware of working environments when choosing a new job as well.
