  • Finance Assistant

    Finance Assistant

    Responsible for all accounts receivable tasks and assisting the Finance Director with other financial processes as required.

    You will be based at Mill Pond Nurseries, Mill Road, Henham, CM22 6AA

    or The Old Fire Station, Wheeler Lane, Witley GU8 5QU

    Full-time, Permanent contract

    Primary Responsibilities

    First point of contact for accounts receivable enquiries

    Invoicing & recording payments

    Monitoring customer self-billing payments

    Ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments and reducing debtor days

    Liaising with sales team and other departments to resolve invoice queries

    Bank reconciliations

    Reconciling ecommerce transactions

    Assisting with month-end and other finance processes

    Skills Required

    Good understanding of finance processes

    Proactive and analytical with keen attention to detail

    Ability to evaluate & improve processes to ensure maximum efficiency

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Excellent Customer Service skills

    Ability to work independently and use initiative to solve problems

    MS Excel – very good knowledge

    MS Outlook – very good knowledge

    MS Word – very good knowledge

    MS PowerPoint – very good knowledge

    Required Qualifications and Experience 

    A level or equivalent

    Experience in accounts receivable/credit control

    Experience with Accounting/ERP systems – knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Xero would be beneficial

    Ensure accurate and timely invoicing

    Reduce and maintain debtor days

    Exterior Planting Technician – Central London  Full-time

    Working with leading architects and designers, it is at the forefront of interior plant innovation.

    Planteria Group has experienced a sustained period of business growth and is in a strong position, as a result, we are now hiring and would like to invite candidates to apply for the role of Exterior Field Service Technician reporting directly to the Head of Service.

    You will be based at Mill Pond Nurseries, Mill Road, Henham, CM22 6AA, but need to travel into London each day

    Full-time, Permanent contract

    The Role

    Working as part of a successful team, you will be required to visit the offices of our clients, within London and the Home Counties, to maintain living plants.

    You will always be required to be of good presence; working discretely to minimise disruption and maintaining excellent customer relations with the clients.

    This position presents an excellent opportunity to work with interior planting and design in the workplace, whilst delivering great customer satisfaction.

    Experience:

    Full clean UK driving license.

    Prior experience in planting or horticulture is preferred but not essential as we will provide training, but a passion for plants is definitely necessary.

    Primary responsibilities

    To be comfortable with heavy lifting, and planting out
    To be confident in using hand power tools
    To be able to work 2 Saturdays a month
    To be able to work between the hours of 4am to 4pm

    Skills required 

    Be a team player
    A good level of physical fitness
    A reasonable level of DIY skills
    Knowledge of plants is not essential but could be advantageous.

    Education/ Qualifications required

    GCSE or equivalent

    Full clean driving license

    MS Excel – good
    MS Outlook – good
    MS Word – good
    MS PowerPoint – good

    Experience required

    Experience of client communication and problem solving
    Experience of working within a team
    Experience working with power tools

    Other key information

    Role is based in rural Essex therefore employees need their own transport to work

    Often installations may span a number of days and could involve staying overnight anywhere in the UK (possibly wider in the future).
