Planteria Group
a growing space for a growing brand
We are Planteria Group, the UK’s leading workplace planting experts.
With our team doubling in less than three years, we needed a headquarters that could grow with us.
Our vision was clear: create a workplace filled with life, collaboration, and inspiration—a space that reflects our values and shows clients what’s possible with biophilic design.
We wanted a place our staff love to come to every day.
The challenge:
Creating Space for a Growing Team
Our rapid growth meant our team was expanding fast.
With more people joining, we saw an opportunity to design a new headquarters that matched our ambition and supported a dynamic working style.
We aimed to bring everyone together in one location, creating an environment that would enhance creativity, support wellbeing, and clearly represent our identity as leaders in green design.
Design vision:
Bringing Nature into Every Corner
Our design followed biophilic principles with an Activity-Based Working layout. Quiet zones, collaborative areas, and open spaces are all connected by greenery. At every decision, we asked ourselves: how can nature enhance this space?
the welcome
At Planteria, the planting tells the story from the moment you step through the door.
The reception is light-filled and welcoming, with a soft, natural feel. A living tree stands proud by the window, while the curved desk is topped with simple, elegant planting that changes through the seasons—sometimes fresh green foliage, sometimes striking designer orchids. Behind the desk, textured walls and clean branding complete the space, with natural light pouring through the high windows.
The spiral staircase and open mezzanine add height and drama, while the soft seating area gives visitors a relaxed place to wait or pause.
Step through the black-framed glass doors and the mood shifts again. You’re met by a wall of lush potted plants, framed by timber floors and dark window surrounds. This is the meeting suite—designed as its own self-contained area with a coffee point, soft seating, and several glass-fronted meeting rooms. It feels smart, fresh, and full of life.
This thoughtful two-step arrival creates the right tone—first calm and welcoming, then vibrant and green. Visitors can meet, wait, or enjoy a coffee here without stepping into the main workspace.
distinct, by design.
Less Floor. More Flora.
We used planting to shape the space, not just decorate it. Four Maxi Green Walls act as bold vertical gardens throughout the office, bringing life and softness without taking up valuable floor space.
Their modular design makes them easy to install, move, and maintain. Built-in irrigation handles the watering, so we don’t have to.
These living walls break up hard surfaces, improve acoustics, and help clean the air. They bring depth and warmth to plain areas, lifting the mood and making the space feel more inviting. Staff often comment on the difference the greenery makes.
Instead of solid partitions, we chose plant-filled dividers. Industrial grid planters and climbing frames create privacy while keeping the space open, bright, and full of airflow.
The dividers are flexible and easy to reconfigure as the team grows or the layout changes. Trailing vines and tall planting add softness and natural movement, keeping the office open and connected.
Silence that speaks volumes
A circular moss wall marks our Quiet Zone. It’s more than decoration—it helps absorb sound and signals that this is a space for calm, focused work.
The planting around the area also softens noise, adding to the sense of peace without closing the space off.

Natural, by design.
Our collaboration spaces feature tactile installations like a moss-and-bark panel, which contrasts soft greenery with rugged bark. It’s an interactive piece that invites touch, sparks curiosity, and helps people feel calm and focused. Media screens are built into the design in a way that feels natural, not intrusive.
Research shows that biophilic design can boost creativity by up to 15%. Natural textures and greenery help reduce stress and support clearer thinking, which makes it easier to solve problems and share ideas. Even brief contact with nature has been shown to improve mood and cognitive performance.
We placed hanging kokedama (moss balls with trailing plants) above breakout tables, adding interest overhead without cluttering the space. These floating planters draw the eye upward and soften the exposed ceiling and lighting tracks.
Around the ‘Terrarium’—our central glass meeting room—replica plants spill from above the textured plaster walls. This gives a Mediterranean courtyard feel that’s vibrant but low-maintenance.
The soft pink bar stools and terrazzo-topped tables bring warmth and contrast to the greenery, while the black-framed glazing and circular mirrors keep the design sharp and contemporary.
The ceiling is painted deep green, anchoring the space and connecting it back to the planting. Acoustic baffles and halo lights add both function and style, creating an atmosphere that feels modern but relaxed.
This meeting zone is designed for flexibility—whether it’s informal catch-ups at the high tables, quiet focus in the phone booths, or more formal sessions in the meeting rooms. Everywhere you look, the planting helps calm the space and spark conversation.
the walls are alive
Our canteen hosts a dramatic wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling green wall, overflowing with lush plants. Built with a recycled, water-efficient system and embedded with multimedia screens, it makes a bold first impression.
It’s always a talking point for anyone who walks in.

reflecting our brand
Identity and Values in Every Detail
This project was an opportunity to express who we are. Every element, from materials to layout, reflects our dedication to sustainability, innovation, and wellbeing. The space itself tells our story.
The materials matter too. Corten steel adds texture, natural woods and vibrant greens match our brand palette, and using Ecoponic everywhere reinforces our message about environmental responsibility.
Everything from the Quiet Zone’s moss signage to the shared collaboration spaces reinforces our company values without needing words.

from mood to metrics:
A Space That Delivers
When we unveiled our new headquarters, the response was immediate. Staff felt energised and excited. Since then, they’ve reported feeling happier, calmer, and more inspired. The office has become a place they genuinely enjoy.
The official opening of the new office to the Planteria team.
Collaboration has improved, and casual interactions spark valuable conversations. Teams mix more freely, ideas flow naturally, and even quiet zones are thoughtfully used.
We’ve seen productivity benefits too—our first quarter in the new office delivered record sales. The environment we’ve created helps people do their best work, proving the value of thoughtful, biophilic design.

a growing showcase
Our headquarters is a showcase of our ethos, designed to grow alongside us. It tells our team they’re valued and shows visitors what we can achieve. It’s proof that thoughtful, nature-focused spaces enhance how a business operates and thrives.
As our plants grow, so do we. This headquarters represents our past, our present ambitions, and our exciting future.
